Story Squad is a platform targeted at young children to help build writing, comprehension, and critical thinking skills by creative competitions.
In this lab project, I worked as a backend developer in a team of 5, to build key features and reusable and scalable modules. I utilized React, TypeScript in Front-end and TypeORM with Postgres on NodeJS, Docker containers in Back-end development
Currently students at Lambda School escalate any technical or administrative issues through Slack to receive help. However, this is quite an unruly and disorganized process for admins who are managing the help desk tickets. We built a web application that allows students to submit a help desk ticket, categorize it and post it to the help channel. I worked as a back-end developer, creating database models for students and admins.
Any foodie worth their weight in salt should always have ideas of where to eat in their home city whenever the opportunity arises. People often default to the same dive spot because of "decision fatigue" every week. Our team built this application in 1 week to try and provide users a way to discover and manage the restaurants they tried. I participated in the project as a React developer for the front-end.

Students at lambda school need a place where they can escalate
their concerns and receive help. This app allows an admin to
manage help desk tickets that come in from Lambda School Students.
It also allows students (A 2nd user type) to submit a help desk
ticket, categorize it and post it to the help channel.
